We shape a stronger, more compassionate future.

Our Programs & How We Help

Trainings

As the healing fund expands, we expect to develop and roll out a training model for businesses, community members, first responders, professionals, law enforcement agencies, legal support, and law makers. These trainings will help prepare Colorado residents for incidents, responses, recovery, and healing. Trainings will be offered in a variety of mediums to allow statewide accessibility to information and resources.

Healing Summits

  • A healing summit designed to increase staff retention, facilitate personal and professional processing, address vicarious trauma and impacts from mass violence incidents.

  • For those who are unable to get away for days at a time or who are seeking a fuller community based experience. A micro summit takes segments of the muti-day healing summit and creates an all day experience of connection, healing, introspection and professional development.

Funds Collection & Distribution During Mass Violence Incidents

  • During a mass violence incident, CHF provides a secure place to donate funds and assist those impacted by the tragedy. Funds collected in response are then disbursed to victims’ families, incident survivors, and grieving communities.

The Colorado Healing Fund ensures our state is ready to respond when tragedy strikes.

Where does the money go?

There are many ways and programs to support at the Colorado Healing Fund. During an activation, funds are directed specifically to that incident. Should you wish to donate to other options at the time, you will need to specify where you would like them allocated.

Distribution methodology.

The Colorado Healing Fund works through trusted local victim assistance organizations and community partners to distribute donations safely, quickly, and responsibly. These partners know the needs of survivors and families firsthand, ensuring support reaches the right people at the right time. Every distribution is overseen by CHF's Board of Directors and guided by transparency, accountability, and respect for victims' privacy.

How are funds distributed?

During an activation, donations are distributed through a trusted network of local victim assistance organizations and community partners who work directly with survivors and families. This collaborative approach ensures support reaches those who need it most, providing everything from immediate financial assistance after a tragedy to long-term healing resources. Guided by transparency, accountability, and compassion, CHF's distribution model ensures every gift is managed responsibly and every survivor is treated with dignity and care.

Timeline of Support.

Healing doesn’t end when the headlines fade. The Colorado Healing Fund responds immediately after a tragedy by collecting and distributing donations through trusted local partners. As recovery continues, CHF aims to support survivors, families, communities and responding professionals through long-term healing programs, mental health services, training, and initiatives like healing summits, because meaningful healing takes time.
