We work alongside trusted local partners to ensure financial donations and programs are delivered efficiently, transparently, and compassionately.

Danette Tyes
For more than 20 years, Danette has served as a victim’s advocate, standing alongside members of our community in the immediate aftermath of trauma. Often responding in moments of crisis, she provides not only critical resources and guidance, but also a steady, compassionate presence when it is needed most. Her ability to bring calm, clarity, and care into some of life’s most difficult situations has made an immeasurable difference for countless survivors.

Michael Perez
Michael moved to Boulder with his parents at 12 in 1971. Graduated from Boulder High School focusing on mathematics, computer science at Boulder Votech and playing shortstop for the Panthers. He has 2 sons and 2 grandsons, all of whom were baseball players as well, among other sports. Michael volunteered in many ways as his kids and grandchildren grew up.
He became a volunteer victim’s advocate for BCSO in 2014 and left in 2025. He has been on many mass events and smaller events as well. Michael believes in his heart that victims need assistance and have tried my best to be there for many of them over the 11.5 years. He believes first responders are victims and need assistance too.

Lisa Schiller
Lisa Schiller grew up in Morrison, Colorado, and has spent much of her life serving and supporting Colorado communities.
After attending the University of Northern Colorado, Lisa began her career with the Adams County Sheriff’s Department, where she served in multiple roles across the jail, patrol, and the North Metro Drug Task Force. She later continued her law enforcement career with the Broomfield Police Department as a police officer.
For the past ten years, Lisa has worked in the security industry, selling and implementing security solutions for enterprise customers. Her background in law enforcement, public safety, and security technology has given her a deep understanding of the importance of protecting people, supporting communities, and helping organizations respond to safety challenges.
Lisa is also the proud mother of a son who serves as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army.

Lori Poland
Lori Poland is a thought leader and innovator. Lori has led advocates internationally in working toward improving lives for survivors and families impacted by harm. Lori has spent 21 years working in non-profits, 30 years as a motivational speaker, is a book author, and has led and run numerous businesses. Lori is an advocate for the voiceless and uses compassion and authenticity to help heal whenever she can. Lori knows the value of honesty, humanism, and personal reflection, keeping these at the forefront of her life driving toward lasting impact everywhere she turns.

Tracy Clements
Tracy Clements is an Education Strategist-Student Safety and Mental Health for GoGuardian and maintains a small private practice. She has more than 30 years of experience in the mental health field encompassing K-12 public education, higher education,private practice, child advocacy, inpatient mental health, and child protective services. She developed and implemented a district level suicide prevention plan addressing an alarmingly high suicide rate in her district.
My why: My passion is helping people overcome adversity and function to their fullest potential. I believe that building resilience is the key to solving the mental health crisis.
